ASBURY PARK, N.J. — High-octane alternative rock, pop-punk energy, and nostalgic anthems filled the legendary venue as the Rockit Academy presented its “90s/00s Warped Tour Tribute” on August 16th at Asbury Lanes. From the first power chord to the final bow, the academy’s young musicians absolutely crushed it on stage!
A massive congratulations goes out to every performer who stepped into the spotlight, with a special shoutout to the seven new students who celebrated a wildly successful first Rockit show. Putting together a performance of this caliber in such a short timeframe was no small feat, made possible by the incredible work of the “Dream Team” instructor lineup—Justin Gallo, Corey Andrew Markowitz, Stephen H. Christ, and Britanny Fontaine—who expertly guided the students to concert-ready perfection. Heartfelt congratulations are also due to the program’s scholarship students, whose talent, dedication, and growth continue to make the entire organization proud.
An event of this scale truly takes a village. Deepest gratitude goes out to the dedicated Rockit parents for fueling their children’s artistic passion, as well as to the board members, volunteers, and alumni whose ongoing support keeps the academy a cut above the rest.
At the heart and soul of it all is Rockit founder and executive director Bruce Gallipani, who earned a well-deserved standing ovation for pouring his heart, soul, and endless dedication into every single detail of the program.
Special thanks also go out to photographer Sean Tobin of Tobin Photographic for capturing the magic of the afternoon and generously donating 100% of photo sales directly back to Rockit’s scholarship fund—ensuring the next generation of young musicians can continue to take the stage.
