The legendary Stone Pony stage shook with the sounds of heavy metal this weekend as the Rockit Academy musicians delivered a powerhouse performance for the “Light of Day Next Generation” concert.

The young rockers took center stage to support the Light of Day Foundation’s ongoing mission to raise funds and awareness for the fight against Parkinson’s disease, ALS, and PSP. Trading gentle melodies for heavy riffs, the students dedicated their set to the music of Ozzy Osbourne, navigating through both Black Sabbath classics and the metal icon’s solo hits with professional precision.

The performance showcased more than just technical skill; it highlighted the dedication of the students, who transformed the venue into a tribute to the “Prince of Darkness.” For many in the crowd, the energy on stage served as a testament to the future of rock and metal.

The event, which drew a passionate crowd to the historic Asbury Park venue, once again bridged the gap between music education and philanthropy. By “turning up the volume” for a critical cause, the Rockit Academy students proved that the next generation of performers is ready to make a significant impact, both on stage and in the community.
