Following an acclaimed debut at Asbury Lanes this past March, the students of Rockit Academy returned to the stage this week, bringing their high-energy showcase, “ROCKIN’ THROUGH THE DECADES,” to the intimate setting of Tim McLoone’s Supper Club.
The venue provided a relaxed backdrop for the young performers, who traded the intensity of a larger concert hall for a more laid-back atmosphere. The shift in venue offered more than just a change of scenery; it allowed the students to cultivate the supportive, community-focused spirit that defines the Rockit Academy. Between sets, the performers took a break from the spotlight to cheer on their peers from the audience, fostering a sense of camaraderie that was as palpable as the music itself.
The performance was a visual and sonic triumph. With elaborate costumes and a commitment to musical precision, the students delivered an electric show that highlighted their status as some of the top young talent in New Jersey.
The Rockit Academy performance was made possible in part by Monmouth Arts, through funding from the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. The organization expressed its deep gratitude to the group for their ongoing commitment to supporting live music education throughout the region.
