The Rockestra Project

The Rockestra Project (Rockit + New Jersey State Youth Orchestra, conducted by Roy Gussman) delivered two stunning sets of symphonic rock at the Count Basie Basie Theatre. Featured were crowd pleasers Fire On High, Love Reign O’re Me, How Many More Times, White Room, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, and Sad But True.

Rockit Prepares For Rockestra Concert

Entering their first collaboration with a classical orchestra, Rockit founder Bruce Gallipani has teamed with Roy Gussman of the New Jersey State Youth Orchestra to present an event aptly-named Rockestra. The concert was first announced at a press gathering at The Count Basie’s Carlton Lounge.

Two River Times Writes Up Rockit

Andy McDonough writes about Rockit opening for The Marshall Tucker Band on March 21st at The Count Basie Theatre. The band also invited Rockit guitarist Nick Piescor on stage during their encore for a performance of “Can’t You See.”

Rockit Plays For The Valerie Fund

Rockit raised funds for charity when they presented a check to The Valerie Fund, The Children’s Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. The Valerie Fund’s mission is to provide support for the comprehensive health care of children with cancer and blood disorders.
